Recap: Women Of Food And Wine Dinner At Boarding House

I was fortunate enough to attend the Women of Food and Wine Dinner at Boarding House in Chicago, put on by Master Sommelier Alpana Singh. After socializing over bubbly, Alpana opened the evening by explaining the purpose of the dinner. Women represent some of the top talent in the food and wine industries, but are rarely recognized for it. After a major media outlet published a top wine professional list that did not include one single woman from around the world, Alapna decided to do something to recognize the amazing women in the industry. The food was made by Alpana’s female led kitchen, all of the wines were from female winemakers (and one female led) wineries and all of the pairings were determined by some of the top female sommeliers in Chicago.
